# Quickstart

Three ways in, from no setup to full account access.

## 1. Call the REST API

```bash
curl "https://moneytrees.ai/api/v1/movers?limit=5"
curl "https://moneytrees.ai/api/v1/tickers/DOGE"
curl "https://moneytrees.ai/api/v1/signals?symbol=DOGE&limit=10"
```

Responses are JSON. Errors are `{"error": {"code", "message", "docs_url"}}`.

## 2. Add the public MCP servers

The market and docs servers need no sign-in. Add them to any MCP client as remote (Streamable HTTP) servers:

```json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "moneytrees-market": { "type": "http", "url": "https://moneytrees.ai/api/mcp/market" },
    "moneytrees-docs": { "type": "http", "url": "https://moneytrees.ai/api/mcp/docs" }
  }
}
```

- **Claude**: Settings, Connectors, Add custom connector, paste the URL.
- **ChatGPT**: Settings, Apps and Connectors, Developer mode, Create, paste the URL.
- **Cursor**: add the JSON above to `.cursor/mcp.json`.
- **Claude Code**: `claude mcp add --transport http moneytrees-market https://moneytrees.ai/api/mcp/market`

## 3. Connect your account

The product server reads and changes one user's watchlists, alerts and trades. It needs a Pro or Trader plan.

```bash
claude mcp add --transport http moneytrees https://moneytrees.ai/api/mcp
```

The client opens a MoneyTrees sign-in and consent screen, then stores the token. Revoke it any time in Settings.

## 4. Use the CLI

```bash
npx moneytrees movers
npx moneytrees ticker NVDA
npx moneytrees ask "why is PEPE moving"
```
